"I’m Christin, I’m 34 and a Kindergarten teacher.
I wanted to lose weight, become fitter and generally be healthier. I found it quite hard to motivate myself to exercise, so I thought getting a personal trainer would help. I also struggled a lot with neck pain and stiffness, which often led to headaches. I wasn't very confident in my own abilities to do exercises correctly. Since I wasn't very fit or active, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up
with the exercises. I also felt really self-conscious and was worried that a trainer might make me feel even worse about my weight and level of fitness. Both fears were completely unfounded.
The first consultation with Ally convinced me that it was the right step to take. We chatted through my goals and the things I was struggling with at the time. She gave me hope that I could actually turn things around and become stronger and fitter. She also took the time to chat through external issues (work, routine, stress, etc.) that were affecting my health and my motivation to be healthier.
Ally has helped me to grow in confidence. I feel much more capable and motivated when it comes to exercising. I have lost some weight and noticed that my body feels stronger and fitter and my flexibility has improved too. As a result, I struggle a lot less with neck stiffness and pain. She is very encouraging and supportive, but also pushes me to try things even if they intimidate me. She has
helped me to understand the correct way to do exercises so that they have the best effect.
My achievements to date are:
1. Although I haven't reached my goal weight yet, I have lost some weight. It has been great to fit into clothes that had previously been too small and to get positive feedback from friends and family!
2. I have become much more confident with exercises that I really struggled with in the beginning. I still have a way to go, but there are things that I could hardly manage before that I can now do relatively easily. This has been a huge encouragement and confidence boost! It's a great feeling to be able to do things that you hadn't previously thought you were capable of!
3. I have actually started enjoying exercising! I really look forward to my trainings sessions and feel good once I'm done. I am quite proud of myself for sticking with the training sessions even when I have been totally exhausted and stressed
out. I'm really happy that I have!
Now, I am trying to adjust my diet to become more plant-based. I want to develop a good routine when it comes to meal prep and build up a good bank of healthy, meat-less recipes. I also want to develop a better exercise routine during the week and not to let work/busyness stop me from working out.
I am really happy that I decided to start working with Ally! She is a wonderful trainer and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking to become healthier and fitter. I am very grateful to her for all her encouragement, support and care!
